SENAYAN CITY X SEJAUH MATA PRESENTS TIMUN MAS EXHIBITION

Jakarta, 8 November 2018 – For the third time, Senayan City is collaborating with Sejauh Mata Memandang, an Indonesia fashion brand which infamous with their hand-crafted. By releasing their newest collection called Musim Rintik 2018, inspired from the Indonesia - Central Java folklore named Timun Mas.

“Senayan City and Sejauh Mata Memandang is collaborating to create an art - education exhibition. We believe that education in Indonesia is important for the next generations, it’s the main reason for Senayan City to take part of Timun Mas Exhibition as official venue partner. We would like to provide new experiences for customers in enjoying Indonesia’s culture in form of modern art exhibition,” said Halina as Senayan City Leasing & Marketing Communications Director.

Sejauh Mata Memandang exclusively produces the limited amount of Timun Mas storybooks. The sales-result will be donated to two Education Foundation that has been known named Yayasan Dian Sastrowardoyo and Bantu Guru Belajar Lagi. Yayasan Dian Sastrowardoyo is a foundation that supports education, women empowerment and Indonesia cultural preservation; and Bantu Guru Belajar Lagi is a foundation that gives the training for upgrading the teacher’s quality in Indonesia.

Chitra Subyakto as Founder and Creative Director of Sejauh Mata Memandang, shared the story about her inspirations behind her newest collection. “I could say that I was having many positive lessons from the story. The character Timun Mas is always facing the problems and not giving up until it finished.” said Chitra. The collections are available in cloth textile, ready to wear collections, accessories and the limited edition of Timun Mas such as slipper, mask, and Timun Mas storybook made from cloth.

The collections itself are using the organic material such as cotton sari, cotton foal up to cupro and processed with hand-made batik method; written, stamped , printing and embroidery. The manufacture is taking places at some city in Indonesia like Sragen, Pekalongan, Solo and Jakarta with contributing the House Wife association from Rusun Pesakih and Rusun Marunda Jakarta.

Timun Mas art exhibition by Sejauh Mata Memandang is also collaborating with a lot of Indonesian artists such as Davy Linggar for the installation art, Tulus and Petra Sihombing for the music arrangement in Timun Mas animation and Dian Sastrowardoyo for being the animation’s narrator. Customers are able to enjoy the animation of Timun Mas at one of the maze room.
