The history of Braun Buffel dates back to 1887 when its founder, Johann Braun, started producing leather products such as carrier bags, purses and school satchels of innovative designs and superb craftsmanship alongside his trade as a master saddler and upholsterer. The business was connected "skin-tightly" with leather in the industrial "leather town" of Kirn in Germany. With the opening of his workshop in July 1887 in Eierhófchen, one of the most idyllic spots in Kirn; Johann Braun laid the foundation stone for the proliferation of the Braun Buffel brand worldwide.
Braun Buffel has expanded from its original product lines to encompass men's and ladies' ranges of high quality leather products and accessories.
